Artist Zheng Jingjing, presents her work created between 2021 and 2023 in this exhibition entitled See with your Heart, a title taken from a series of her works.

A60 International Art has collaborated with Zheng Jingjing on several occasions and her work has been included in the China-Italy Contemporary Art Yearbook 2021. Her works are full of contrasting images where seemingly simple geometric shapes contain miniature worlds created by the artist including a woman reading a book under the sun, a figure enjoying the sun on a beach, and a boy jumping down into the water. In his images, it seems that time has been compressed and suspended, and the afternoon without the daily hustle and bustle is a time to feel the tranquility and peace brought by nature.

In writing this essay, I feel a slight sense of constraint, fearing that the words might spoil the mood expressed by Zheng Jingjing, which is not the same as Chinese poetry. This mood is conveyed to her by the relationship between the colors in the painting, in its uniqueness, so that every viewer cannot help but feel and "taste" in the synesthesia, almost the aroma and sweetness of the pearl milk tea.

The artist's state of mind during the painting process and her character traits can often be perceived indirectly from the art images. When we observe the landscape she painted, enlarged to infinity, the human being is reduced to a corner or exists as a decorative point, and in this way we can see the artist's love and elation for nature and the environment.

When I first had the opportunity to observe Zheng Jingjing's works, I felt the immediacy of comparison with American artist Dan Attoe's creations, which also depict a considerable number of natural wonders (waterfalls, beaches, mountain ranges, rocky cliffs, oversized forests) where at the same time, there are also small people in the midst of these natural wonders. These figures, in the work of artist Dan Attoe, highlight the grandeur of nature while demonstrating the uniqueness of the depiction of natural landscapes. Perhaps, this is the same sensibility and experience of artists who have lived and created in the United States.
